From now on, it will be possible to transfer up to 30 million rubles per month between different financial organizations. Banks are not allowed to limit the amount and number of transactions within this limit.
The signed Federal Law No. 482-FZ, enacted on August 4th, prohibits banks from imposing additional fees when individuals transfer money between their accounts in different financial organizations. Now, within the limit of 30 million rubles, the depositor will be able to dispose of funds without any banking commissions.
After the amendments come into effect, credit institutions will not be able to limit the size and number of operations within the monthly limit. Banks will also be required to inform clients free of charge about the expiry of their deposit no later than five calendar days before the service ends.
The authors of the bill assume that the novella will help ensure free access for depositors to banking products and also provide an opportunity to choose the most favorable conditions.
The law will come into effect 180 days after its official publication, with the exception of certain provisions.
